International Orders, Customs & Duties

How to get Desiree's books outside the US, including local vendors in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, and what to expect from customs and duties if you order direct.

There are three ways to get Desiree's books outside the US, and the cheapest one is often not ordering from us directly.

1. Start With A Local Vendor

We ship books from warehouses in the US and Canada, which means overseas orders travel a long way and shipping costs a lot.

If you are in Europe, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa, check our vendors page first.

Desiree's books are carried by stockists in Norway, Denmark, the UK, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Ordering locally usually costs less and arrives faster.

Or Choose An Ebook

Some of Desiree's books are available as ebooks. They arrive in your product library immediately, with no shipping cost, no waiting and no customs.

Our guide is here: Where To Find Your Ebooks

Ordering Direct From Us

We do ship worldwide, and it is the right choice if your country is not on the vendors list, if you want a title a local vendor does not carry, or if you would simply rather order from us.

Duties and import taxes are included in the rate you are quoted at checkout. You should not be asked for anything further when your order arrives. No customs bill at the door, no fee to release your package, no surprise charge later.

How Long It Takes

International orders take longer than domestic ones, and customs clearance can add time no carrier can predict.

Your tracking shows the current estimate as your package moves. Our guide is here: Tracking Your Order Shipment

If Your Order Is Held At Customs

Occasionally a package is held for inspection or paperwork. This is normal and usually clears on its own within a few days.

If your tracking has said the same thing for more than a week, write to us with your order number and we will investigate.

If you are asked to pay a customs charge, do not pay it. Contact us first.

Duties are already included in what you paid, so a request for more is something we want to see.
